Israel Axel, about 68, of Milwaukee died Thursday night at a Milwaukee hospital.
Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Friday at Goodman - Bensman Funeral Home, Milwaukee, with burial in a Milwaukee cemetery.
Mr. Axel, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Kalman Axel of Sheboygan, married Sarah Golden, daughter of the late Samuel and Bessie Golden, at Manitowoc and was owner-manager of Golden Bag Co. at Manitowoc.
While at Manitowoc he was an officer in Anshe Poale Zedek Synagogue, a member of the Manitowoc B'Nai B'Rith Lodge and active in local charities. He was an officer of Great Lakes Tanning Co., Milwaukee.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ben Barkin, and a Grandson of Milwaukee.
