Howard Dale Tucker age 89 of Holland died Tuesday January 20, 2015 at Tender Care Retirement Home in Holland. Born in East Saugatuck, Howard owned and operated his own farm. He was also employed as a boat builder in the Holland area at Chris Craft, Slick Craft and retiring at S2 Yachts. He was a lifetime member of East Saugatuck CRC where he served as an Elder, Catechism Teacher as well as Sunday School Teacher and Sunday School Superintendent.
Howard was preceded in death by a grandson Jonathan Koops in 1997; son -in-law, James A. Brower in 2011; as well as his wife of 57 years, Ruth Genzink Tucker in 2005.
Funeral services will be held Friday 11 a.m. at East Saugatuck Christian Reformed Church, A-3815 56th Ave. with Rev. Larry Slings officiating. Burial will be in East Saugatuck Cemetery. Friends may call on the family today, Thursday 6-8 at the Mulder Chapel, Dykstra Funeral Homes, 188 West 32nd St. as well as at the church, Friday 10-11 prior to the service. Memorial gifts may be given to a Christian school of your choice.
