Rev. Al G. Adams, Jr., 92, of Lawrenceville, GA, died Jan. 18, 2015. He was preceded in death by his devoted and loving wife of 61 years, Lois Adams. He is survived by son, David Adams of Lawrenceville, GA and daughter & son-in-law, Lindsay Adams Lundeen and 1st Lt. David Lundeen, Ft. Carson, CO; son & daughter-in-law, Steve & Lisa Adams and their children, Hannah and Jamie of Bethlehem, GA; other relatives and a host of many friends. Rev. Adams was preceded in death by his parents, Al G. and Florene Adams; and his sister Alice Boudreaux. Rev. Adams was a graduate of Richmond Academy, Augusta Junior College, the University of Georgia and the Southwest Baptist Theological Seminary. He served churches for over 55 years in positions as Pastor, Associate Pastor and Minister of Music and had also served the Convention of California Southern Baptist. Recently, he spent several years as an Associate in Sunday School Departments. Rev. Adams was a godly man that dedicated his life to helping others and being a devoted husband, father, grandfather and loyal friend. This wonderful man will be greatly missed by his family and friends. The service honoring his life was held at Sunrise Baptist Church. Dr. David Poe officiated. Interment followed at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Members of the Sapp-Gentry Sunday School Class served as an honorary escort. Tom M. Wages Funeral Service.
