Claudia L. Glahn lived her life to the fullest until her cup runneth over. It seemed that she almost knew how long she would be with us on this earth. For as we look at her family Bible, which she read almost daily, we found the 10th verse of the 90th Psalm underscored, "The days of our years are three score years and ten. And if by reason of strength they be four score years, yet is their strength, labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off and we fly away." So at four score years and one, on April 27, 1959, she departed to join her loved ones who have gone before to prepare her place in her Father's house.
Her two sons, Wilbur L. and Daniel W., her three grandchildren, and her two great-grandchildren know the journey across the Great Divide has been pleasant and complete for she had lived her daily life in a manner so exemplified by her favorite poem by Charles M. Sheldon.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 30, at 11:00 a.m. at the Baldwin Park Mortuary. Rev. Frank Schottelkorb, minister of the First Christian Church of Baldwin Park, officiated. Burial was held at Oak Dale Memorial Park.
