Hettie Belle McMullen-Fincher married Louis Earl Fincher in about 1921 more than likely in De Soto Parish, LA. Hettie's mother, Winnie Boyles-McMullen lived in Pelican for quite some time after her husband died between 1900-1910 leaving Winnie, Hettie's and Paige (Mildred) and Lillian to support themselves. Both Hettie and Lillian had become school teachers which probably helped out for quite sometime.
