Michael George Herrmann, 57, of Freeport passed away Monday, June 9, 2008, at his home.

Michael worked for Freeport School District 145 as a bus driver for three years. He enjoyed his work and the people he worked with.

Michael enjoyed spending time with his boys and playing his guitar.

Michael is survived by his two sons, Jerad Herrmann, 16, and Stephen Herrmann, 12, both of Freeport; his former wife, Rhonda (Doug) Artman of Freeport; his mother, Gloria (Paul) Martinak of Belvidere; brothers, Howard Warmbold and William Warmbold of Chicago, Bob (Lynn) Warmbold and Jeff Warmbold of Portland, Ore; nieces, nephews and many other family members.

He was preceded in death by his father, Russel Herrmann; stepfather, William Warmbold; and a brother, James Herrmann.

Services will be held at noon Thursday at The Evangelical Free Church of Lena. A luncheon will follow the services.

Graveside services and burial will be held at 2:30 p.m. at City Cemetery in Freeport.
