ELIZABETH JANE SIMONS ALLMAN was born in Lancaster WI 12 Sep 1863 and passed away at Morrill 23 Jun 1927, where she had been taken 2 weeks before for treatment. She had been a sufferer from diabetes and when considered cured from that malady she was stricken with paralysis. She died at the age of 63 years, 9 months, 11days. In 1880 she moved with the parents to Stuart, NE where on 27 Nov 1881 she married Charles Allman and they continued to reside there until 7 years ago, when they came to Rapid City. Mr. and Mrs. Allman were the parents of 7 children, all of whom and her husband survive her; also 19 grandchildren and a 7 year old-Mildred Mattox, for whom they have made a home for the past 6 years. The children are Frank and Charles Allman, Stuart NE; Mrs. H C Dick, Norfolk NE; Clarence Allman, Midwest WY; Mrs. R L Doyle, Bonetta Springs; Robert Allman and Mrs. Gladys Clark, Rapid City. She is also survived by 10 brothers and sisters: William, Grant and Garfield Simons, White Owl; John Simons, Dalzell; Mrs. William Callaway, Lancaster WI; Mrs. Jesse King, Sturgis; Mrs. Herman Ostendorf, Ft Pierre; Mrs. Edward Morgan, Sioux City; Mrs. Fred Quinn, Tama and Mrs. Tom Gorman, Marcus; all of whom were present at the funeral which was held Monday at the family residence (628 4th Street) conducted by Rev. Ralph Huffer of the Congregational Church. Mrs. W E Morse sang a solo at the service and Mrs. J L Robbits was accompanist. Pallbearers were 2 sons-in-law: H C Dick and R L Doyle and 4 brothers: William, Grant, Garfield and John Simons. A niece Mrs. Ed Noe of Whitewood was also present at the funeral. Deceased was buried in Mountain View Cemetery.
