Daughter of Horace H. and Marguerite Helms.
Married Keith C. Smith October 3, 1943 at Veedersburg. He preceded her in death June 3, 1976.
survivors include children Keith K. (Ken)Smith, Jill (David) Crider and Susan Ruggero; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by her husband and brother Horace H. Helms, Jr.

1939 graduate of Veedersburg High School.
She worked in the office at Harrison Steel for several years, before she and her husband started Smith Plumbing & Heating.

She was an active member of United Methodist Church and many community service organizations.
She and her husband were avid fans of the St. Louis Cardinals and Indiana University basketball. The also enjoyed playing cards.

Service 1pm Saturday, January 24, at Dickerson Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Johnson officiating. Visitation 5-8pm Friday.
