Funeral services for Julia (Kerr) Chase Boulton, 86, of 4 Turnpike Ave., Clearfield, who died Friday, June 2, 1995, at the Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield, will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Clearfield Presbyterian Church with Dr. Douglas S. Pride officiating.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home Inc. in Clearfield on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and at the Clearfield Presbyterian Church on Monday from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
Born June 25, 1908, in Clearfield, she was a daughter of Colonel Frederick B. and Emily (Bigler)Kerr.
She was past president of the Potts Run Coal Company, Clearfield.
She was a member of the Clearfield Presbyterian Church; a member of the Clearfield County Historical Society; a member of the John Lewis Shade Post No. 6 of the American Legion Auxiliary; and earlier in her life she had been active in the Girl Scouts.
She is survived by a daughter, Emily Chase Weaver of Clearfield; a son, William C. Chase Jr. of Steyensburg, Va.; eight grandchildren, William C. Chase IV, Jane Chase Neal, Elizabeth G. Chase, Kerr Bigler Chase, Deirdre C. Weaver, Julia K. Weaver, W. Frederick Weaver, and James A. Weaver; and three great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, William C. Chase, in 1961; her second husband, Harold J. Boulton, in 1982; a brother, Edmund B. Kerr; and a twin sister, Bertha K. Read.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Shaw Public Library, 6 S. Front St., Clearfield, PA 16830, or to the Clearfield County Historical Society, 104 E. Pine St., Clearfield, PA 16830.
