Services for Avis H. Boatright, 81, of 312 E, Gaines St., Dublin, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Shady Grove Baptist Church. The Rev. Bartley Freeman will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Boatright, a native of Laurens County, was the former Avis Hammock, daughter of. the late James Wesley Hammock and Ella Donaldson Hammock. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and was married to the late Carroll 0liver Boatright. Mrs. Boatright died Wednesday at a local nursing home.
Survivors include a daughter, Hazel G. Hanley of Dublin, a brother , Louie C. Hammock of Jacksonville, Florida. Three sisters, Vivian H. Long of Eastman, Mattie Pearl Blllinghurst of Aiken, SC., and Irene H. Moore of Adrain. Pallbearers will be Harold Moore, Jr, Jim Brophy, Chris Moore, Wes Long and Bob Moore. The family will receive friends at Adams Funeral Home from 5 to 6 p.m.
