Elizabeth Cole was the infant daughter of Stephen Cole and Martha Hunter Cole of Chester; then Chester, now Delaware County, PA. The birth date above is actually her baptism date. Birth date unknown. The death date identified above comes from a headstone transcription in COLE FOOTPRINTS by Camellia T. Denys (1983), but the source is not provided. My contact at St. Paul's said births and deaths were not recorded in the church records - only baptisms and burials. From the records I have examined (and those attached here) that certainly is the case. Her burial date per St. Paul's Episcopal Church records is 27 June 1731.

Gravesite Details

There was a WPA survey in 1936-37. By that time her headstone must not have been legible as her grave is not identified. It is believed to be WPA grave 71, 72 or 74. Her father, Stephen Cole b. 1700 d 1744/5, is WPA grave 73.
