Born in Wilmington, DE on August 6, 1932, he was a son of the late Charles G. and Evelyn (Hitchens) Taylor. Dedicated to his community, Paul was a 66-year active life member of the Minquadale Fire Company, holding numerous offices including Chief Emeritus. He worked as a contractor for many years with Edjil Drywall and owned P & J Construction. In his spare time, Paul enjoyed golfing and looked forward to his annual outing to Myrtle Beach with his sons and dear friends.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth E. Taylor; son, Kevin M. Taylor; and siblings, Ken Taylor, Melvin Taylor, Charles Ray Taylor, Donald Taylor, and Ruth E. Hill. He is survived by his sons, Paul H. Taylor, Jr. (Jeri) of Lewes, Charles T. Taylor (Susan) of New Castle, and Robert A. Taylor of New Castle; brother, Joseph Hoopes (Patti) of New Castle; and 7 grandchildren.
