Dorthy Fenn, 84, of Clovis, died Sunday, April 30, 2006, at Laurel Ridge Healthcare in Clovis.

She was born Jan. 11, 1922, in Haskell County, Texas, to G. W. and Bertie Sanders Alexander.

She moved to Clovis in 1942. She married Ira Clifton Fenn, and had one son and two daughters. She co-owned Sunshine Nursery for many years.

Family members said she loved gardening and growing flowers.

She was a member of Forrest Heights Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, William Henry, George and Herschel.

Survivors include her son, Gary Fenn (and wife, Pam) of Clovis; daughters, Judy Long (Glen) of Texico and Ruth Parchey (Harry) of McVeytown, Pa.; brothers, Thomas Alexander of San Antonio, Texas, J. C. Alexander of Oregon and Roy Alexander of Lubbock; sisters, Audra Shindler of Abilene, Texas, Evelyn Ellington of Muleshoe, and Fay Crawford of San Antonio; eight grandchildren, James Fenn, Michelle Anaya, Kristal Lane, Jacob Fenn, Deanna Johnson, Jason Johnson, Tammie Joseph and Vickie Reschke; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Garlan Hughes will officiate services.

Cremation has taken place and burial will take place at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens at a later date.

The family will be at 902 Harvard in Clovis and 720 Anderson in Texico for visitation.

Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home.
