COLUMBIA - Mildred "Moody" Gibbes Elliott, 94, died Friday in a Georgetown hospital. The funeral will be at noon Monday in Trinity Episcopal Cathedral Churchyard. Burial will be directed by Dunbar Funeral Home.
Mrs. Elliott was born in Columbia, a daughter of Wade H. Gibbes and Heloise Weston Gibbes. She attended Converse College and was a graduate of the University of South Carolina. She was a former member of the Columbia Junior League. She was a member of the American Contract Bridge League. She was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Cathedral. She was the widow of William T. Elliott.
Surviving are a son, William T. Elliott Jr. of Columbia; a daughter, Eleanor McMahan of Florence; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
