Larry was born Sept. 8, 1940, in Page, W.Va., the son of Lantie and Bertha Johnson Eads. He married Sharon K. Seei on June 8, 1963, in Princeville. She died Dec. 7, 2003, in Peoria.
Surviving are three sons, Jeffrey Eads (Tonya Haynes) of Princeville, Christopher (Mary Jo) Eads of Hopewell and Timothy (Paulette Sander) Eads of East Peoria; and longtime companion, Kay Wilson.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Larry first worked as a printer for Fleming & Potter for 25 years and then was custodian for Dunlap School District 323 for eight years, retiring in March of 2004. He and his wife also worked as assistant managers at Independence Village in Peoria.
His greatest accomplishment was when he went into a burning bus garage, saving three buses.
Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Peoria.
