The Gibbons Baronetcy, of Stanwell Place near Staines in the County of Middlesex, England, was created in the Baronetage of Great Britain on 21 April 1752 for Sir William Gibbons, Speaker of the House of Assembly, Master General of the Ordnance, and Lieutenant-General of the Island of Barbados

Sir William Gibbons (died 1760) married Frances Hall (died 1757), daughter of Robert Hall of Barbados

Their second son, Robert Gibbons, was born about 1716
