Mrs. Annis Geraldine Blalock Dennis, age 81 passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 in the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House, Salisbury, N.C.
Her service will be at 12:00 PM Friday, January 16, 2015 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lowell Brown and Rev. Ken McRae officiating. Burial will be in Stanly Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Mrs. Dennis was born January 31, 1933 in Stanly County, NC to the late David Theron Blalock and Sallie Lentz Blalock. She was a graduate of Norwood High School and retired employee of Cassie Cattillion of Norwood. She was a member of White Crest Baptist Church. She was a avid Atlanta Braves fan and she dearly loved her children and grandchildren.
Mrs. Dennis was married to the late Boyd Junior Dennis who preceded her in death 1983. One sister, Rachel B. Smith also preceded her in death in 2009.
Survivors include a son, David B. Dennis and wife Joyce of Albemarle, NC, two daughters, Debbie L. Speights and husband Troy of Bolivia, NC and Annis M. Ross and husband Bob of High Rock Lake, NC and one brother, Edward L. Lentz of Chapel Hill,NC, seven grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Taylor House, 319 Palmer Street, Albemarle, N.C. 28001.
