Marion C. Hackbarth, age 85, died Monday, March 19, 2012 at Homestead Care Center, New Holstein. She was the former Marion Klauck, born February 17, 1927 in Kiel, daughter of the late Isidore & Edna (Casper) Klauck. She was a graduate of Kiel High School. On June 16, 1951 she married Rueben W. Hackbarth at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Kiel. Rueben preceded her in death on December 28, 1991. Marion had worked for several businesses throughout the Kiel area. She was a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Kiel. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, fishing and word search puzzles. Survivors include her children: Lynn (Jeff) Hausler, Kiel, Ann (Mike) Wollersheim, Chilton, John Hackbarth, Kiel, grandchildren: Michelle (Kristopher) Klotz, Becky Wollersheim and special friend, Angie Anderson, Christine (Chris) Propson, Michael Wollersheim, Greg (Ashley) Hausler, Ericka (Dan) Claflin and Krista Hackbarth. She is further survived by twelve great grandchildren, one brother, Les (Tess) Klauck, Kiel, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one brother, Elmer Klauck. The funeral Mass for Marion will be celebrated at 6:00 pm Friday, March 23, 2012 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 413 Fremont St., Kiel with Rev. Loren Nys S,D.S. officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church on Friday from 4:00 pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in her name. Marion's family would like to extend their thanks to Homestead Care Center & Calumet Medical Center for the excellent care she received.
