Obituary,
The Waterloo Region Record, 15 Jan. 2015:
BROX, Carl Precipitated by a fall, Carl Brox died, probably of too many birthdays, on January 12 in hospital at Freeport. Son of the late Jacob and Erna Brox, predeceased by his beloved wife Jean, Carl was in his ninetieth year. Left to mourn are his brother Roy Brox, his son Jim Brox and daughter-in-law Tiina, granddaughter Christina Brox, grandson Eric Brox and his wife Cindy, and great-grandsons Henry and Peter. Nieces and nephews will certainly miss Uncle Carl's sense of humour. Carl worked for many years for Auto-Electric in Kitchener and later for the City. In his retirement, Carl returned to woodcarving with the Owl's Nest Carvers and the Wilmot Woodworking Centre. Cremation has taken place, but the family will welcome visitations at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre , 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900), on Friday, January 23, 2015, from 7-9 p.m. A memorial service, with Rev. Janice Hamalainen officiating, will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 11 a.m. in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 54 Queen St. N. (corner of Queen and Weber), Kitchener; reception to follow. If felt needed, memorial donations may be made to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church or a charity of your choice.
