MORRISTOWN, TN:
Georgia "Penny" Irene Johnson, 65, unexpectedly passed away in the early morning hours of Friday, January 9, 2015.
Born February 22, 1949 to Charles and Ila (Deem) Jones in Marion, Ohio.
On February 15, 1969, she married Larry T. Johnson.
He survives along with their daughter, Ila "Dolly" (Travis) Thompson.
Also surviving are her sister, Rose Conley (Marion); three grandchildren, Ariel (Brandon) Bailey, Megan (Gage) Warwick, and Clayton Thompson, all of Morristown, TN. And her great-grandchildren, Caiden, Gavin, and Hallie Bailey and Keegan and Emma Warwick all of Morristown, TN; many nieces, nephews, family and dear friends.
With the exception of the past 6 years, Penny spent her life in Marion, Ohio where she ministered to others singing and playing piano at church and at home with family. Before moving to Tennessee, she worked in registration at Marion General Hospital Emergency Room.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Bertha Goldberg, Charles E. Jones Jr., and Carol "Bubbles" Oliver Chapman; and her precious great-grandbaby, Owen Wade Bailey.
Calling hours will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Boyd Funeral Home in Marion, Ohio and 12-1 p.m. on Friday, January 16th at Pentecostal Believers in Christ, 347 N. Main Street, Marion, OH 43302. The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 16th at the Church immediately following the second calling hours. Burial will follow the funeral at Marion Cemetery
