Ila Mae "Nanny" Jones

MARION, OHIO ------ Ila Mae "Nanny" Jones, 80, went home to be with the Lord, on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Gary and Carol Chapman.
She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her death.

Ila was born April 10, 1925, to Charles W. and Iva E. Marks Deem in Moundsville, West VA.
She came to Marion at the age of 12 and resided the rest of her life here.

She married Charles E. Jones Sr. on Dec. 25, 1939, in Marion, Ohio.
He passed away Aug. 12, 1962.

From this marriage, they had six children and three daughters survive;
Rose Mary (Jim) Conley, Carol "Bubble" (Gary) Chapman and Georgia "Penny" (Larry) Johnson, all of Marion;
12 grandchildren, Benny (Debbie) Rentschler of Miles City. MT.,
Michael E. Jones of Florida, Steven C. Jones of New Winchester, Michelle "Shellie" (Robert) McGlish of Marion, Ernest "Ernie" Johnson of St. Louis, MO., Lisa (Conrad) Young of Delaware, Christine :Chris"
(Danny) Sias of Edison, Sherrie (Joe) Dalton of Marion, Robin (Rock) Johnston of Nevada. Robert "Rob" (Brenda) Oliver of Marion and Ila
(Dolly) (Travis) Thompson of Marion, 32 great grandchildren, eight
great-great- grandchildren, six step great grandchildren, eight step
great-great grandchildren.
A brother Charles M. (Roselind) Deem of Marion and Florida; numerous nieces and nephews; two foster daughters, Sue (Kenny) Field and Gloria (Gigi) Emery, both of Marion and numerous friends and relatives.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles E. Jones Jr.; two daughters Betha Guldborg and Illa Sue Jones, three sons-in-law, Kenneth Guldborg, Ernest Johnson and Ronald E. Rentschler, Rebecca Rentschler and Bonnie Rentschler Winkley.

She worked as a head cook at Whirlpool from 1961 - 1973 at which time she started work at Quaker Oats and retired in 1988.
Ila enjoyed traveling and being with her family.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday Feb. 4, 2006, at the Boyd Funeral Home with the Rev. Grover "Roger" Caudill officiating.

Burial will follow at the Grand Prairie Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Robert Oliver, Ernie Johnson, Travis Thompson, Dan Sias, Joe Dalton and Jack Baker.

Friend may call today 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice.
