Katherine Louise Harris Norton

After a long illness, Louise went peacefully to be with our Lord on January 12, 2015 at 4:30.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jesse James Harris and Lily Allen Harris of Barnardsville, NC; sisters Bonnie Whittemore and Helen Watson; and daughter Janet Elaine Rector.
Louise was survived by daughters Mari Alyce Shoebotham and Bette Denise Cassida; and grandchildren Taynia, Tracie, and Aaron Shoebotham, Alex and Victoria Cassida; great grandchildren Katelyn, Sarah, Austin, Devon and Miles Reeves, Logan Shoebotham. Additionally, Louise is survived by sisters Alice Fulp, Myrtle Burgess, Irene Hunnicutt, Virginia Whittemore and brother Franklin Harris.
The family received friends and family at Barnardsville Church of God beginning at 12:00 PM on Thursday, January 15, 2014. The visitation was followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM officiated by Daniel Reed. Louise was interred at the Harris Family Cemetery on North Fork Road in Barnardsville, NC.
"I look forward to mornings when the shadows slowly disappear over the mountains and the sun shines through. A new day has began and my spirits seem to lift for I know I have made it through the night hours of darkness." Louise Norton.
