Meda Rebecca Anderson Wicker, 86, of Niota, passed away Monday, Jan. 12, 2015, at her residence.
She was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, and a daughter of the late James Bruce and Vida Elizabeth Cook Anderson. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Thomas Mack Wicker; daughter, Pamela Aline "Pam" Coleman; three brothers, the Rev. James Sanford Anderson Sr., Elbert Anderson, and J.B. Anderson; and two sisters, Ellen Hale and Anna Lou McCoy.
She was a member and a Sunday school teacher with a deep love and commitment for Union McMinn Baptist Church and her family and was a former employee of Crescent Hosiery Mill.
Survivors include her two daughters and sons-in-law, Janie and Gary Wilson of Niota, and Connie and Robert Lowry of Niota; sister, Polly Dotson of Niota; sister-in-law, Hazel Black of Yucaipa, Calif.; brother-in-law, Laurence Wicker of Niota; former son-in-law, Ken Coleman; six grandchildren, Kristi Benton, Bryan Coffey, Gerald Wilson, Michael Wilson, T.J. Wilson, and Tamera L. Coleman; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Wednesday at Union McMinn Baptist Church with the Rev. Doug Alexander and Bryan Coffey officiating.
Interment will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Union McMinn Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Scott White, Cole Plaster, Adam Reed, Don Reed, David Reed, and Jody Moser.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church.
