According to Cemetery Records of Bedford County, Tennessee by Tim and Helen Marsh, Jeremiah Dial, a Revolutionary soldier b. 1758 in Dublin, Ireland, married Nancy Anna McDaniel, d. Sep 22, 1834, is said to be buried in the Dial Cemetery.

A cemetery survey in 1976 by Helen C. and Timothy R. Marsh showed Dial Cemetery as being located near Cross Road Church. They stated "All signs of the cemetery have been destroyed and no markers of any make remain."

NOTE: In Dec. 2015, one of Jeremiah's descendants got in touch with the woman who oversees the cemetery at Crossroads Church in Bell Buckle. The overseer's mother showed her where Jeremiah Dial and others were buried right across the road from Crossroads Church. The overseer said that the D.A.R. ordered a Revolutionary marker for Jeremiah that has not been picked up yet. There are plans for the marker to be placed on the grave in the spring of 2016.
