Daughter of Leslie Ernest and Edna Grace (Ratliff) Hasler, she married Emmett Edward Lamb on June 2, 1946 in Osman. He died October 30, 1988 in Pekin.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Robert Edward Lamb, Sr. on January 9, 2012 in Pekin and two sisters, Betty Lou Stanley and Dorothy Doman.

Surviving are one son, L. James “Jim” (Bonnie) Lamb; two daughters, Virginia A. (Al) McIrvin and E. Jo Ann Lamb; eight grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald Ray Hasler and two sisters, Mary Lou Shockey and Beverly June Bryant.

Lorene worked as a curbie at Andy’s Drive-In in 1959 and then as a waitress and banquet room manager at the former Presto’s on Derby Street in Pekin. She had also worked at the Towers Restaurant as the night manager and waitress in Peoria before returning back to Andy’s in Pekin for 6½ years. She later worked as the evening janitor at the former Douglas School in Pekin and last worked as a prep cook at the Busy Corner in Pekin.
