VETERAN OF WORLD WAR IIMINE VEHICLE KILLS NEW COAL WORKER

KENILWORTH,UT - Charles A. ZABRISKIE, 27, of Mount Pleasant, a timberman's helper in the Independent Coal and Coke Company mine here, was killed Thursday afternoon when he was Run over by a mine motor car.

Mine officials reported that ZABRISKIE, who was coming off shift and riding a motor out of the mine, jumped off while the motor still was moving and evidently slipped under the car.

He had come to the mine only two days before.

Funeral arrangements are pending arrival of his widow, Mrs. Merzell ZABRISKIE, from Mount Pleasant.

MOUNT PLEASANT -- Funeral Services for Charles Alma ZABRISKIE, who died in an accident at the Kenilworth mine of the Independent Coal and Coke Company Thursday, will be conducted in Mount Pleasant South LDS Ward Chapel Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Marzella ZABRISKIE; a son, Shirl; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. ZABRISKIE, and a sister, Mrs. Melba ANDERSON.
