Harriet was the second wife of Dr. William Bolander (1805-1885). In 1882 they traveled with other family members, from the Marion, Indiana area and settled in and around Parsons, KS.

Their son, Lord Guilford Bolander purchased a farm about 1 mile north of Harmony Grove Cemetery. Their records show he bought 6 lots, but does not date when this occurred. On these lots there is only one head stone. LG's small child who also died in 1883. None of the other lots are marked....

It has been unknown where Harriet was buried or for sure when she died, until the discovery of a newspaper article from the Parsons Daily Sun, dated Sunday, Aug. 5th, 1883. It described that Mrs. William Bolander had passed away at her home and was buried in Timberhill Cemetery.

There are no records of a "Timberhill Cemetery" existing, in Labette County KS. There was a city called Timber Hill, KS about 3 miles southwest of the location of Harmony Grove Cemetery. Dennis Ks did not exist in 1883.

Further research found at least 6 other obituaries in the Parsons Sun, describing others buried in "Timberhill Cemetery". Research on FAG shows several gravestones for them are located in Harmony Grove Cemetery.

In conclusion, the evidence seems clear that "Timberhill Cemetery" is likely one in the same as "Harmony Grove Cemetery". It is thought that all of the lots are filled with family deaths occurring from 1883-1895. Attached to this memorial is the obituary printed in the Parsons Sun.
