Born May 16, 1913, in Carroll County, he was the son of the late Walter and Mira Sprenkle Armacost. He was the husband of Doris Manger Armacost.
Mr. Armacost was a retired tool and die maker for Armco Steel and a member of Boring United Methodist Church, the National Rifle Association, and the Maryland Arms Collectors Association.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are son and daughter-in-law Bill and Lynn Armacost of Parkton; and one grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main St., Hampstead, with the Rev. Richard K. Shamer and Ivan Cole officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg.
