She arrived to America on the SS. General Harry Taylor. After fleeing Latvia she lived several years in displaced person's camp in Esslingen, Schwaben, Germany. In 1950 U.S. Congress temporarily raised the immigration limit and she and about 40,000 other Latvians could immigrate to the U.S. She lived at 501 S. L St., Tacoma, Washington.
