Myrtle was the 2nd child and oldest daughter of George Richard Blair and his 2nd wife Lucretia Driggers. She had 3 older Blair half-brothers (their mother was Mary Douglas), and 9 full-siblings. After her father's death, her mother married John J. Crews, and gave Myrtle 2 Crews half-siblings and 4 Crews step-siblings.

In 1917, Myrtle married George Lawrence Briles, but they divorced between 1920 and 1925. At Christmas 1925, Myrtle married Fred Thellman. They had 2 children, Theone "Bunny" Thellman Worth Greenall 1927-2007, and Fred Thellman, Jr. 1933-2008, and 6 grandchildren.

After Fred's death in 1955, Myrtle married Arnold William Johnson. She died in 1972, having lived all of her life in northeast Florida. [Note: Her name is given as Myrtle Thellman Johnson in the SSDI and the Florida Death Index].

Burial location is tentative, but is probably in a Jacksonville cemetery, and likely beside her 3rd husband in Oaklawn Cemetery.
