WHALEY, ANTHONY EVAN - age 50 of Sevierville, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015 at his home in Knoxville, TN.

Anthony was born May 13, 1964 to Judy and Garlon Whaley in Newport, TN. He grew up in Sevierville and graduated from Sevier County High School in 1982. He went on to attend Tennessee Tech where he graduated with a degree in electronics. Most recently, Anthony attended Walters State Community College where he was studying to be an HVAC technician. He began working at age 14 and held various positions throughout the years. He was currently employed by Nelson Global Products as a maintenance technician. Anthony was saved on March 28, 1975 and was a man of strong faith. He was an active member of First Apostolic Church of Knoxville. His interests included spending time with family, reading, woodworking, fishing, camping, gardening and watching UT football.

Anthony was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, "Gramps" and friend to all. He is preceded in death by his father, Rev. Garlon Whaley and grandparents, Lee Witt Flynn, Mildred Webb, and Marmon and Fannie Whaley. Survivors include his mother, Judy Whaley; daughter, Tasia Whaley; granddaughter, Addilyn Whaley; sister and brother-in-law, Kimberly and Jeffrey Grace; niece, Jessica Grace; nephew, Adam Grace; long-time companion, Brenda Loveday; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 PM Friday with funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville. Rev. Jeremy Gresham and Bishop Bill McCool will officiate. Family and friends will meet 10:00 AM Saturday in Knob Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Max, Dakota and Michael Frazier, Kenneth McIntosh, Benny and Lester Flynn. Online condolences can be made at
