Eleanor "Tut" Sudduth Smallwood, 91, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.

A Celebration of her Life will be held Friday, January 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Shannon Back and the Rev. Chris Minton officiating. The family will greet friends on Thursday, January 8, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home.

Mrs. Smallwood was born April 13, 1923, to the late Ernest D. Sudduth and Hilda Heath Sudduth. Mrs. Smallwood attended Fort Hawkins School, and graduated from A. L. Miller in 1941. In 1941, she married C.A. Smallwood and was a housewife and stay at home Mom until 1964, when she went to school to be an L.P.N. She worked at Bel Arbor Nursing during her nursing career and retired in 1986. She was a member of Lizella Baptist Church and a past Matron twice of the former Dixie Chapter Order of Eastern Stars (OES), and presently a member of Lizella Chapter #390 OES. She attended many senior citizen meetings until her health got bad.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Smallwood, daughter, Linda Smallwood Harper, and her sister, Nell Kitchens.

The family would like to acknowledge the love and dedication given to her by her caregiver Ms. Susan Riley over the past two years.

She is survived by her three sons; Charles E. (Pam) Smallwood of Macon, Larry (Kathy) Smallwood of Macon, Mike (Sharon) Smallwood of Macon, grandchildren; Kim (Jimmy) Barbee of Lizella, Brandy (Ferrell) Cromer of Gray, Amy (Matt) Garvin of Macon, Kelly (Will) Collins of Macon , Shane (Lorie) Harper of Macon Jason (Courtney) Harper of Smarr, Michael (Megan) Smallwood of Macon, , Deidra (Dale) Childers of Macon, Jason (Lindsey) Hall of Gray; great-grandchildren, Erika (Steven) Word, Ellie Barbee, Emily, Katie and Courtney Cromer, Seth, Savannah, Ethan and Ella Harper, Sydney and Libby Collins, Matilyn, Ansley and Colleen Garvin, Raeleigh and Allie Smallwood, Maci and Julianna Hall, Austin and Kristin Childers, Caitlin (Keith) Collins; sisters, Margaret Misch and Norma Selman and several nieces and nephews.

Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery has charge of the arrangements.
