Ralph Ernest Crisler, 73, of Gainesville passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with internment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Dave Channell will officiate.

Mr. Crisler was born on May 16, 1941 in Maysville, Georgia to the late Robert and Bessie Hyde Crisler. He was the district manager at Western Union and was a member of Grace Baptist Church.

He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Korea.
He was one of the longest surviving heart and kidney transplant patients.

He is preceded in death by his parents, step mother, Willie Sims Crisler, brother, Ben Crisler.

Mr. Crisler is survived by his wife of 30 years, Brenda Crisler of Gainesville, son and daughter-in-law, Andy and Crystal Crisler of Flowery Branch, daughter, Stephanie Turk of Oakwood, step-son and fiancé, Scott Irvin and Ester Rivera of Demorest, step-daughter and husband, Stacie and Brandon Pierce of Gainesville, sister, Jeanette Roshau of Ellijay, sister and brother-in-law, Joann and Frank Greenway of Flowery Branch, sister-in-law, Rancine Crisler of Brandon, FL, granddaughters, Sydney and Caroline Turk of Oakwood, grandson, Gabriel Blankenship of Oakwood, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In Lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Chattahoochee Baptist Association Secret Santa Program.
