Bessie Jane (Eslick) Duncan, age 69 and a resident of Sasakwa, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at her home.

Bessie was born on July 7, 1945 in Eufaula, Oklahoma to Squire Eslick and Hazel (Culp) Eslick. She was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of family and animals.

Bessie is survived by her husband, Don Hill of the home; two sons, Robert Murphy of Stigler, Oklahoma, and Rickie Murphy of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one daughter, Rose Ann Duke of Tipton, Oklahoma; four step-daughters, Jalena Murphy of Stigler, Tessa Hill of Little Axe, Oklahoma, Felicia Hill of Sasakwa, and Shawana Hill of Waco, Texas; sixteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Wake service is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 7th at Rock Springs Church in Sasakwa, and funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 8th at the church. Burial will follow at the Walton Family Cemetery near Sasakwa. Rev. Jimsey Harjo and Rev. Houston Tiger will officiate. Pallbearers are Anthony Eckles, Vincente Aguliera, Finny Howe, Bill Armstrong, Nashobia Hill, and Sunhawk Hill.
