D. B. Weddington Funeral services for David Bartow Weddington, 81, of 412 Woodvale Avenue, will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Harry Bryant Chapel in the Oaks.

The Rev. Walter R. Kelly, pastor of Wesley Heights Methodist Church, will officiate and burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Mr. Weddington died yesterday in a local hospital after a short illness. He was born Sept. 23, 1878, in Cabarrus County, son of the late William T. and Susan Cosby Weddington.

He was reared in Cabarrus County and came to Charlotte in 1896. He was associated with Parks-Cramer Co. for over 49 years and was retired in 1952.

Mr. Weddington and the former Miss Selena Sims were married in 1909 and celebrated their 50th anniversary last year.

He was a member of Wesley Heights Church and of the Woodmen of the World.

Mr. Weddington is survived by his wife, two sons, R. L. Weddington and Dwight B. Weddington of Charlotte and three sisters, Mrs. Grace Holmes, Mrs. Ella Rodgers, and Mrs. Mary Gunnel of Charlotte.
