LENOIR — Elsie Austin Sanders, 81, of Fairway Acres Circle, died June 8, 2003. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at First Advent Christian Church, where she was a member. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Park.
Born in Lincoln County, she was a retired shipping clerk with the furniture industry.
Survivors include her husband Ned H. “Pete” Sanders of the home; three sons, D. Ned Sanders, Richard A. Sanders and Gary T. Sanders all of Lenoir; two daughters, Peggy Sanders Isaac of Pickens, SC and Vicki Sanders Wedding of Lenoir; two brothers, Guy Austin of Euphrata, Va. and Claude Austin of Lenoir; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
