Gerald N. Lacy 75, of Indianapolis, passed away Friday March 18, 2005. Mr. Lacy was a fireman with the Indianapolis Fire Department for 32 years, retiring from Station #34 in 1990. His memberships include Old Bethel United Methodist Church, VFW #261, Masonic Lodge #11 in Brookville, In., Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, and Moose Lodge #17. Mr. Lacy was a veteran of the United States Army. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Lacy. Survivors include his wife, Ruth E. Coghill Lacy; children: Norma Lambert, Charles Lacy, Steven Lacy, Jeffrey Lacy, Cynthia Spindler and Timothy Lacy; 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. Services Tuesday, March 22, at 11 a.m. in Old Bethel United Methodist Church, 7995 E. 21st St. Visitation will be Monday, March 21st from 4 to 8 p.m. in Moore & Kirk Irvington Chapel, 5342 E. Washington St. and from 10 a.m. until service time at the church on Tuesday. Interment will be in Washington Park East Cemetery. If friends desire, the family would appreciate memorials to the Little Red Door Cancer Agency in Mr. Lacy's memory.
