Mr. Clifton was born September 10, 1939, in Marietta, the son of Marvin and Almeda Hubbard Clifton. He died Friday, November 7, at his residence.
He married his high school sweetheart, Barbara Lemons on October 1, 1961, and she preceded him in death on June 12, 1990. Mr. Clifton worked as a mechanic for Chevron USA in Westbrook, Texas and retired in 1991. He was a member of the Church of Christ and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Dianne Clifton of Colorado City; a daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Chad Harbour of Big Spring, Texas; two grandsons, Adam Clifton of Colorado City and Hunter Harbour of Big Spring; and a sister, Audrey Newsome of Marietta.
Mr. Clifton was also preceded in death by his parents; two grandchildren; eight brothers and a sister.
Services were under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home, Colorado City.
