Jeremy was born January 29, 1985, in Ardmore, the son of Billy J. Lambert Jr. and Luwinda M. Sampson Howard. He died Tuesday, November 25, 2003, at his home in Marietta.
A resident of Love County all of his life, Jeremy was a 2003 graduate of Marietta High School where he was a straight "A" student. He was active in the school choir and had received several choral awards. Jeremy was a member of the Modockers Car Club of Marietta and also the Model Doctors, a model car club, in which he had received several trophies and plaques in shows. He had received several medals in Special Olympics including a trophy in wheelchair race and was also awarded a special plaque for assisting the Cub Scouts of Marietta.
At Christmas 1998, Jeremy received an electric wheelchair and got his first taste of freedom. This made him very happy and gave him a new lease on life. Jeremy enjoyed building model cars, playing video games, drawing and building items with his hands, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his friends. He was a member of Marietta's First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, Billy and Linda Lambert of the home; mother and stepfather, Luwinda and Harold Howard of Thackerville; grandparents, Mary and Frank Norwood of Overbrook and Bill and Vickie Lambert of Wilson; five brothers, Chad Joyner and Josh Joyner of Thackerville and Chevy Lambert, Nicholas Lambert and Michael Lambert of Marietta; two sisters, Brittany Lambert of Marietta and Heather Howard of Thackerville; a stepbrother, Kenny Howard of Kingston; two stepsisters, Crystal Howard and Vickie Howard of Kingston; two nieces, Haily Joyner and Sierra Joyner; and a nephew, Tyler Lambert.
Jeremy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alice and Buddy Reed and Mary Lou and James Sampson; and an uncle, Jessie "Butch" Lambert.
Pallbearers were Curtis Cochran, Vincent Seeman, Bob Brannan, Joe Martin, Don Harvey and Bill Ross. Honorary pallbearers were all other members of the Modockers Car Club of Marietta.
Interment was at Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta, under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home.
