Mrs. Wise was born in Mart, Texas on February 19, 1905 and passed away in a local nursing home on August 24, 2003. She lived in Taft for the last 62 years. Mrs. Wise was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Raymond Wise; two daughters Leona Wise and Hazel Wells; two grandsons, Marshall and Corey Wise; and by one granddaughter Juanita Wells. Her survivors include her 11 children and their spouses, Joe Owens, Vera Marrow, Jimmy Wise, Raymond Wise, Lloyd Wise, Carl Wise, Walter Wise, Bill Wise, Alyeen Hawkins, Hoppy Sexton, and Evelyn Rout; her 46 grandchildren, many great grandchildren; and many great great grandchildren.
