w/o George Dean, m. 9-9-1819.

burials per Dean family records, but may be unmarked. Sabina was living with her daughter, Harriett Holderfield.

d/o Jonathan & Susan Isabella Pope Abney.
From Otis Fuller:
George and Sabina moved to Chambers Co., AL by the 1850 census, with most of their children, including youngest child, John Marion Dean.
Their 3rd eldest daughter, Delilah Dean, married James Nelson Duke, son of Jesse Duke of Lancaster, SC, and lived next to Jesse in Gwinnett Co., GA., later moving to Alabama, joining the rest of George Dean's family there.
Emma Eliza Duke, daughter of James N. Duke, married Joseph Robert Abernathy, son of Rev. Joseph Thomas Abernathy of Coosa Co., AL. Daughter Delilah Abernathy married Robert Lafayette Fuller in Coosa Co., AL, in 1895. Robert and Delilah were the grandparents of Otis Fuller.
Edward Dean, son of Richard, married Rebecca Abney, daughter of Abraham, and later, William Dean, son of Richard Dean, whose grandson, George Dean, Jr., married Sabina Abney, great grand daughter of George Abney through son Nathaniel Abney and wife Isabella Madison, and grandson John Abney and wife Susan Isabella Pope.
Additionally, the (my) Abney's and Dean's trace back to Henrico Co., VA, in the late 1690's and early 1700's, where you will find ancestors Richard Dean, and brothers George and Abraham Abney.
I have material on the family of Richard Dean, going back to London, England, in the mid 1600's, and the Abney's, who trace back to William Albini, in England, and thence all the way back to the Norman Conquest, as compatriots of William the Conqueror.
The Abney's actually go back even further, to Viking King Halfdan, of what is now Norway.
