Elmer E. Tirk, long prominent as an oil producer, died at 3:05 o'clock Friday morning at his residence, 1409 Buffalo Street, following an illness of about two years. He was born April 13, 1879 in Sandycreek Township, but had been a resident of Franklin for most of his life.
He was a member of Franklin lodge of Elks, and of Franklin Circle No. 20, Protected Home Circle.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Harry A. Zell of Youngstown, OH, and Miss Marguerite Tirk, at home.
Services will be at the residence at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon, in charge of the Elks, with Rev. S. S. Clark officiating. Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery.
