∼OBITUARY OF PHILLIP E. GUNDERSON
MOUNT PLEASANT - Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. today, September 18, in the Mount Pleasant third L.D.S. Ward Chapel for Phillip Erick GUNDERSON, 73, who died September 14, 1991, at Orem Convalescent Center.
He was born August 27, 1918, in Mount Pleasant, to V. H. and Anna Rolph GUNDERSON. He married Hazel B. BROWN, November 08, 1941, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The marriage was solemnized in the Provo L.D.S. Temple, August 08, 1991.
He was in business management working as a construction engineer in California. He did research and development for the Soil Conservation Service in Arizona. He was a member of the L.D.S. Church. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the South Pacific. He was an avid sportsman, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by wife, Mount Pleasant, children, Phyllis HOOKER, Craig GUNERSON, David GUNDERSON, Wendy DeWITT, Kent GUNDERSON, Mark GUNDERSON, and Kerri WADDELL, twenty-eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, brothers and sisters, Ruth MARVIN, Ralph GUNDERSON, Jane WHITMAN and Jay GUNDERSON.
Friends may call at the Ward Chapel one and a half hours prior to Services. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant City Cemetery with military honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9276.
