Edna G. “Sis” Olson, 96, of Bellmead, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2014. Burial will be at 11 am Tuesday, December 30 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Walnut Springs, Texas. Visitation will be 5 to 7 pm Monday, Dec. 29 at Bellmead Funeral Home. Edna was born June 4, 1918 in Walnut Springs to Jess and Janie (Hicks) Sapp. She was a Methodist. Sis worked at George’s Restaurant for over 20 years where she enjoyed working for George and Sonny and her many long time customers. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Jessie Sapp and his wife, Ann; her sisters, Nell Stapp and husband, Earl and Lois Riddle and husband, Jim; and brother-in-law, Bill Lewis. Survivors include her son, Ollie “Reggie” Olson and wife, Mary; grandchildren, Michael Olson and Gina Long and husband, Brady; her sister, Dot Lewis; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff and nurses at The Atrium of Bellmead and Providence Hospice and her room-mate, Mrs. Jean and her husband, for their care and support.
