A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 7 at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Paul C. Reviere officiating.
Mrs. Colvin was born December 31, 1923 and was the daughter of Fred A. and Loudelle Price McWhorter of Lincolnton. She and Curry G. Colvin were united in marriage on July 31, 1943. Mrs. Colvin excelled in providing a loving home for her husband and their three children. She loved family, travel and sports and was especially vocal in support of the Lincoln County Red Devils.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Curry Colvin; brother, Billy McWhorter and son-in-law, Robert Lamb.
Survivors include her three children; Jane C. Lamb of Augusta, Leyton M. Colvin of Atlanta and C. Marshall Colvin and wife, Susan of Lincolnton; five grandchildren, Scott and Kristy Lamb of Warner Robins, Christopher and Kim Lamb of Kingsland, Casey Colvin of Atlanta, Chase Colvin of Augusta and Curry Colvin of Savannah; five great-grandchildren, Lauren Lamb, Avery Lamb, Rylee Lamb, Taylor Lamb and Jacob Lamb; and her sister-in-law, Inez McWhorter.
The family request that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Lincoln County Red Devil Athletic Booster Club, in care of Maria Bradford, P.O. Box 99, Lincolnton, GA. 30817 or to New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 1303, Lincolnton, GA. 30817.
