John Steven (Mac) McEntire was born July 19, 1961 in Oklahoma City. He died on April 21, 2006 in Oklahoma City. He was a tissue and bone marrow donor. Steve was born to John T. McEntire and Barbara C. Bastin-Berglund. He was a resident of Edmond, OK for 32 years. He had 20 years of service with the State of Oklahoma Transportation Department. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved the family life. Steve was a graduate of Edmond Memorial High School, Class of 1979. He was preceded in death by his father John T. McEntire, grandmother Fama Bastin, and grandfather Delbert McEntire and step grandfather J.R. Hamilton. He is survived by his wife Tamara L. McEntire, two daughters Mackinzey and Savannah, whom he loved very much. Mother Barbara C. Bastin-Berglund, mother-in-law Cleta Shores, two sisters, Sunday Vincent and husband Don, Shannon 'Sam' Brown, one niece Samantha Brown, two nephews Geoffrey Brown and Nicholas Vincent all of Edmond. Grandmother Hilda McEntire, grandfather Charles J. Bastin, uncle Gary C. Bastin and wife Gloria, aunt Gayla McClellan and a host of family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday April 24th at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel, 601 S. Kelly, Edmond, Oklahoma.
