Gerald E. Brazee was received into the loving arms of Jesus on Dec. 23, 2014. Born March 15, 1935 in Scipio Township, he was the son of Ellis O. and Esther (Miller) Brazee.
He retired from Acorn Products in 2000 where he met his beloved wife Evylan. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Quincy as well as the men’s bible study group. He supported and had great fondness for the Mel Trotter mission.
Gerald loved his family more than life itself. He didn’t “need a lot” and “didn’t have a lot” because he gave it all away.
On Feb. 12, 1968 he married Evylan C. (Harris).
He is survived by his brother Harold (Rosalie) Brazee of Houston; stepson Terry Brazee of Jackson; son Carl (Kathy) Brazee of Yuba City, California; daughter Lorraine (Bruce) LeBlanc of Eagle Harbor; daughter Dianna (Robert) Lucas of Hawaii; son Jay (Brazee) Oberhausen of Beeville, Texas; son-in-law Jack (Teresa) Burton of Quincy; nine grandchildren, April Brazee, Ericka Brazee, Patrick Brazee, John Holcomb, Jodi Holcomb, James Holcomb, Sandra (Pete) Anderson, Jackie (Adam) LaFever and Amanda Burton; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Evylan C. Brazee Feb. 27, 2014; daughter Charlotte Walker; two stepdaughters, Sue Burton and Judy Holcomb; and two sisters, Mary Ellen Wendorf and Donna Bowser.
His daughter wishes to say that there are not enough words in the dictionary to express her appreciation and gratitude for the loving and compassionate care provided to her father by the staff at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility.
Funeral Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Quincy, with Pastor Frank Snyder officiating. Interment will follow in Mason Cemetery, Coldwater.
