George William Dorsey was born June 30, 1861 in Baltimore, Maryland, the middle of nine children of John Dorsey and Catherine Lillis. He died Dec. 25, 1931, age 70 in Baltimore, a resident of 1744 Johnson Street. He married at age 24, in 1885 Theresa Ellen Magaha. She was born July 5, 1866 in Baltimore, the daughter of Samuel Magaha & Agnes Benedicto Ross. She died July 23, 1940 in Baltimore, age 74.
