Jodie E. Halford of Lubbock passed away on Friday, December 19, 2014 at the age of 94. He was born on November 24, 1920 in Lynn County, Texas to Jess and Ruth (Crawford) Halford. He was a cotton ginner for many years. In 1946 Jodie married Della Mae Letsinger. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Jodie will be deeply missed by all his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Glenda McClesky of Lubbock and Jodel Trotter of Pipe Creek; sons, Randy Halford of Lubbock and Scott Halford of Pipe Creek; brother, Herman Halford of Lovington, New Mexico; sisters, Odessa Johnson of Ft. Worth and Viola Newman of Oklahoma; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Jodie was preceded in death by his parents; wife; three brothers, Luke, Dub and K.G. Halford; four sisters, Ruby Halford, Elida Gass, Minnie Johnson and Nan Fortenberry.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Tahoka Cemetery.
