She married William Fulenwider 18 Sept 1826 in Lincoln County, North Carolina. Between 1827 and 1845 they had nine children, seven boys and two daughters. The Fulenwider families (John, William and Henry) came to Alabama with other families from Lincolnton, NC, including the Keeners and Engles about 1835-36.

William and Martha moved to Alabama by 1850. Appearing in the following census records: Benton 1850, Cherokee 1860, Etowah 1870 and 1880. William appeared in the 1850 and 1860 census but not the 1870 census. The last twenty years of her known life she lived in the home of her youngest child Albert Leroy Fulenwider.

The last known record for Martha is the 1880 census, where she is found in Etowah, Alabama, was dated 25 Jun 1880. At that time she had three surviving children, Sidney Frederick, Margaret Ann Wilson and Albert Leroy. Albert Leroy moved to Kaufman, Texas and died in 1897. Margaret moved to Bell, Texas and survived until 1920. Sidney Frederick stayed in Etowah and passed in 1906.
